1) Vertical burping
Gently place a clean burp cloth on your shoulder, making sure it is flat and covers your shoulder and part of your chest.
Gently hold your baby upright in front of your chest, with your head resting on the burp cloth on your shoulder and your chin tilted to one side to prevent the mouth and nose from being blocked when vomiting milk.
Use one hand to hold your baby's buttocks firmly, and use the other hand to start from the bottom of your baby's back and gently pat or stroke from bottom to top until your baby burps.
2) Sitting burping
First sit on a chair and spread the burp cloth flat on your legs.
Let your baby sit on your legs, facing forward, with the baby's back against the adult's abdomen.
Use one arm to support the baby's chest and fix the baby's head to ensure that the baby's head is stable, and use the other hand to pat the baby's back until the baby expel air.
3) Prone burping
First spread the burp cloth on your legs, preferably on the front of your thighs.
Let the baby lie face down on your legs, with his head on the leg with the burp cloth and his abdomen on the other leg. Be careful not to press the baby's mouth and nose.
Use one hand to support the baby's chin, so that his head is slightly higher than his body to keep his airway open.
Use the other hand to pat the baby's back gently until the baby burps.
