2025 marks the 10th year of China and the UK jointly building a global comprehensive strategic partnership for the 21st century. The pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of finance, green economy, trade facilitation, etc. is expected to inject new impetus into bilateral relations.
China and the UK established a strategic dialogue mechanism in September 2005 and upgraded the dialogue level in March 2010. The last China-UK strategic dialogue was held in Beijing in July 2018. After a lapse of 7 years, the China-UK strategic dialogue was restarted. On February 12, Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited the UK and held the 10th China-UK strategic dialogue with British Foreign Secretary Lamy. The China-UK strategic dialogue mechanism is an important channel for in-depth communication between China and the UK.
