"The Belt and Road Initiative proposed by China has built a bridge between nations and countries. Azerbaijan is one of the first countries to support the Belt and Road Initiative, and has demonstrated its support for the initiative with practical actions over the years.

China is Azerbaijan's fourth largest trading partner and the largest source of imports. Azerbaijan is China's largest trading partner in the South Caucasus region. The two countries have broad prospects for cooperation in energy, transportation, logistics, industry, agriculture, information and communication technology, tourism and other fields.

The promotion meeting was jointly hosted by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency, the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission of China, and the Commercial Representative Office of the Azerbaijan Embassy in China. More than 100 people including government officials, business representatives, and corporate representatives from China and Azerbaijan attended the promotion meeting. At the promotion meeting, Chinese and Azerbaijani companies and relevant government departments and institutions signed memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements on the spot, covering smart agriculture, intelligent manufacturing, green energy, digital economy, mining, textiles, machinery and other fields.
