Swaddling is a traditional childcare product, usually made of soft cloth, which gently fixes the baby's body (especially the arms and torso) by wrapping to simulate the environment in the womb. Common types include traditional swaddling and improved swaddling. Traditional swaddling mostly uses breathable and skin-friendly fabrics such as pure cotton and gauze, and elastic fibers are added to some parts to improve the fit of the swaddling. Through rectangular or square fabrics, the baby's arms are pressed against the sides of the body, and then fixed with cloth tape or Velcro to form a compact wrapping effect. The improved swaddling design is more ergonomic. For example, the split-leg style allows the baby's legs to bend naturally (to avoid hip joint development problems), the zipper design makes it easy to change diapers, and some products also have constant temperature or anti-startle functions.
