According to the announcement, FedEx will optimize the pricing mechanism of parcel pickup services in August, aiming to simplify the rate structure and integrate express and ground businesses to improve operational efficiency. The adjustment includes ordinary pickup, automatic pickup and on-call pickup.
Ordinary pickup will adopt a weekly charging model, with a uniform weekly fee (US$7.50-35.50) set according to the number of days for scheduled pickup, and the weekend fee is US$12 per day. Shippers can flexibly choose a pickup arrangement of 1-5 days a week to match the shipment frequency; the weekday rate for automatic pickup is adjusted to US$19/week, and it is reduced to US$7.95/day on weekends, supporting the mixed use of standard and expedited services; on-call pickup will be changed from charging per package to per-time parking fee (US$9-22.75), reducing the cost pressure of low-frequency or temporary pickup, but it should be noted that surcharges such as remote areas may increase the total cost.
