On the morning of June 21, the promotion activity of China-Europe Express + Western Land-Sea Corridor ASEAN Express was held at the DIT terminal in Duisburg, Germany and the overseas warehouse of Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe. Representatives of railway operators, enterprises, international freight forwarders and other countries from China, Germany, France and other countries jointly discussed cooperation plans and future development around the theme of "Two-way connection between Europe and Asia to create development opportunities".

In 2011, China's first China-Europe Express "Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe" was sent from Chongqing to Duisburg, opening the curtain of the development of China-Europe Express connecting Asia and Europe. In 2024, the first ASEAN Express will be launched in Chongqing, marking the "seamless connection" of the two major trade channels of the Western Land-Sea Corridor and the China-Europe Express in Chongqing.

"As a logistics transit center, Duisburg has become a hot investment destination favored by Chinese logistics and e-commerce companies." The opening of the ASEAN Express has enabled Duisburg to establish direct links with the Southeast Asian economic circle through Chongqing, which has created valuable opportunities for the two places.

"The core innovation of the ASEAN Express is to realize the dual-channel linkage between the China-Europe Express and the Western Land-Sea Corridor, break regional barriers through resource integration, and build a new bridge for Eurasian economic and trade cooperation." The ASEAN Express has obvious advantages in full-chain transportation, timeliness, cost and other aspects. This year, the "China-Turkey Express" will also be built to further enhance the service of the China-Europe Express South Corridor from Chongqing across the Caspian Sea via Turkey.
