Advantages and disadvantages of pure cotton fabric
Pure cotton fabric is a type of fabric produced from cotton through textile processes. It features moisture absorption, warmth retention, heat resistance, alkali resistance and hygiene. In general, cotton fabrics have better moisture absorption and heat resistance and are comfortable to wear.
1,Hygroscopicity
Cotton fibers can absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, with a moisture content of 8 to 10%. Therefore, when they come into contact with human skin, they make people feel soft and not stiff.
2,Thermal insulation
Due to the fact that cotton fibers are poor conductors of heat and electricity with extremely low thermal conductivity, and because cotton fibers themselves have the advantages of porosity and high elasticity, a large amount of air can be retained between the fibers. Air is also a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Therefore, pure cotton fiber textiles have good thermal insulation properties
3,Alkali resistance
Cotton fibers have a relatively strong resistance to alkali. When cotton fibers are in an alkaline solution, they do not undergo any damage. This property is beneficial for washing, disinfecting and removing impurities after consumption.
