The main differences between Tencel Lyocell and Tencel Modal:
1.Raw materials: Modal mainly uses beech wood as the raw material, while Lyocell uses eucalyptus as the raw material.
2.Production process: Modal uses a viscose wet spinning process, which uses a variety of chemical substances for treatment; Lyocell uses a more environmentally friendly solvent production process, which does not produce derivatives and chemical contamination during the process.
3.Fiber characteristics: Modal fiber has a higher moisture absorption and moisture rebate than cotton, with uniform fiber thickness and smooth surface. The woven fabric has a very soft touch and good moisture absorption and breathability; the Lyocell fiber has little difference in moisture absorption and breathability and fiber strength from modal, but it is better than modal in terms of fabric performance, gloss and drape.
